Social Security should not be reformed. I say that not because I think it is a good system, but because I think that it should be abolished, albeit in a controlled and gradual way, so as not to deny benefits . . . more

Charles Temm JR , Apr 9, 2009, 10:10AM EDTThanks Tad but you surprised me coming back to argue with Today. Given the quality of the argument he/she posited, I didn't think it was worth the time. Same with Baby J

Charles Temm JR , Apr 8, 2009, 11:35AM EDTWhat happened to your icon pic?
Anyway, thanks for cluing me in about Today's Illusion.
I think many people get minimalists confused with anarchists. Maybe someday I'll try a post about that! LOL -

Charles Temm JR , Jan 26, 2009, 1:17PM ESTThanks for the input on the Kursk article. My Russian was limited to learning militarily useful things for field grunts when the Sovs were our nightmare!

Imagine a leaner Federal Government without Military Veteran OBLIGATIONS to burden them.
I think we need to cut off all benefits for every veteran.
After all, they got paid while they were employed, why should the Federal Gov. continue paying them after they quit or retired ?
I mean, if the job mandates the employee have two good legs and two good arms, eyesight and hearing and these employees can no longer perform the job due to non-compliance they do not deserve to be carried along on the backs of the taxpayers. -

Charles Temm JR , Sep 15, 2008, 9:14PM EDTFound a comment/question of yours on one of David McGill's wandering posts. You asked how they got a US passport in N. Ossetia. Apparently the passport in question had been taken form a US tourist (and was reported) several years ago in Russia proper.
It find it bitterly amusing to see people believe Russian accusations about anything because of their personal desire the worst about this country while refusing to believe ANYTHING their own country might say in mitigation or defense. -
